    Another old-timer has passed away in the person of Mr. George Pollay, who was here before the great fire which swept Vancouver away in 1886. Mr. Pollay died in Discovery, Atlin, B. C., and leaves a wife in Vancouver. He was the first librarian in Vancouver when that institution was opened, and afterwards was an inspector of sewer construction work. He had lived for a number of years in the North.

    George Pollay, a German, was found dead at the bottom of a shaft, where he fell during a fainting spell. He was 65 years of age, leaves a wife in Vancouver, B. C. He was a member of the Arctic Brotherhood.

    Pollay - The funeral of late George Pollay took place on July 25, at Discovery, Atlin, B. C.. under the auspices of the Arctic Brotherhood, the service being conducted by Rev. A. C. Justice. The deceased was Chaplain of the A. B. at the time of his death, and the pallbearers were all members of the order.
