Almost completing the allotted span of three score years and ten, Mrs. Rosina Eggert, wife of Jules Eggert, Atlin, B. C., passed into the Great Beyond last
Saturday morning, after a short illness.
For a week or ten days previous Mrs. Eggert had been suffering from a cold that developed in to pleurisy and heart trouble, which proved fatal in spite of the most careful nursing and skillful medical attention.
The deceased was born 66 years ago in Switzerland and accompanied her husband to the frontier mining town of Atlin in 1899, where they have since resided.
During her more than twenty years' residence in Atlin Mrs. Eggert's kindly nature, lovable
disposition and many charming traits of character have endeared her to a large circle of admiring friends.
A loving mother and a devoted wife, Mrs. Eggert leaves to mourn her loss, a husband and three sons. Jules Eggert, the bereaved husband, has been engaged in the Jewelry business in Atlin since coming in to the country 22 years ago. One son, Charles, is a practicing physician in Prince Rupert; another son, Paul, is a jeweler in Vancouver; the eldest son, Henri, who for nine years was a Lieutenant under the French colors and later superintendent of salt works in Algeria, is at present a battalion quartermaster in the French army. The doctor and Paul spent most of their boyhood days in Atlin but the elder son, Henri, has never been in this country.
Dr. Eggert, in Prince Rupert, when advised of his mother's illness, made haste to reach her bedside, but on his arrival in Skagway Sunday evening received the sad news that she had passed into that realm from which no traveller ever returns. He reached Atlin Wednesday morning, by dog team from Carcross, in time for the funeral.

Followed by almost the entire population of Atlin, the body this most highly esteemed lady was taken to the Atlin cemetery today and laid to its eternal rest amidst the sublime mountainous grandeur that, in life, she had loved so well, far, far from the land of her birth.
