The record high temperature at Mayo was 36.1°C (97°F) on June 14, 1969, the coldest was -62.2°C (-80°F) on February 3, 1947. That is the Canadian record for the greatest range of absolute temperatures, a difference of 98.3 degrees Celsius between the extreme high and extreme low.
