Northwest Trail is a 66-minute Western film that was released by Action Pictures in the United States on November 30, 1955, directed by Derwin Abrahams and starring Bob Steele, Joan Woodbury, and John Litel. Based on a book by James Oliver Curwood, a prolific writer of Western and adventure novels, Steele plays Trooper Matt O'Brien, a Northwest Mounted Police constable assigned to escort Katherine Owens (played by Joan Woodbury) to a remote outpost where he finds an illegal gold mining operation.
