Horses being loaded onto a ship at Seattle, filmed on October 25, 1897. James H. White directed the filming for Thomas A. Edison. The wharf is crowded with livestock, and a large derrick slowly drops the large box or sling into the bunch. Into this cradle a horse is led, and is slowly hoisted and swung over to the deck of the steamer (0:33).
