Queen Elizabeth II 1977 Silver Jubilee postage stamps

    New Zealand is situated at the complete opposite point on earth from London, and yet, Queen Elizabeth II has journeyed half-way round the world five times during her twenty-five year reign to visit New Zealand.

    New Zealand honoured the Queen's Silver Jubilee by releasing a series of 5 postage stamps featuring portraits of the Queen. Two First Day Covers were postmarked at Wanganui on February 23, 1977.
