Jerry G. Quinlan, for many years in the employ of the W. P. & Y. R. as
conductor of a passenger train between Skagway and Whitehorse, passed away last Sunday at 11 o'clock a. m..at the home of his sister, Mrs. Martin Conway of Skagway. Deceased was 57 years of age at the time of his death. He was born in New Brunswick and leaves two sisters, Mrs. Martin Conway and Mrs. Wm. Whalen, of Skagway, and a brother, John W. Quinlan, of Stillwater, Minn. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon from St. Mark's church under the auspices of Skagway Aerie No. 26, Fraternal Order Eagles. All the business houses of Skagway closed their doors during the hours devoted to the conducting of the services.
Mr. Quinlan was one of the best known and most popular railroad men in the entire northland, and numbered his friends by scores. His death, while not unexpected, was a sad blow to his relatives as well as to those with whom he was intimate. The Weekly
