It is with sincerest regret we record the death of Mrs. Norman
Murray who passed away at the local General Hopital on Monday night, March 21, at the age of 64 years.
For sometime past she had been suffering from ill health and only returned recently from the coast where she had been taken by her husband to consult medical specialists. All efforts, however, in her behalf were of no avail.
The late Mrs. Murray came to reside in Whitehorse in March 1923 and, with the exception of a few trips Outside, she has resided and brought up her family. Truly may
it be said of her "She looked wellto the ways of her household, and ate not the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed."
Funeral services were held at the Gospel Chapel yesterday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock, the Rev. Harold Lee conducting the impressive ceremony. The chapel was filled to over-flowing. This fact andthe many beautiful floral tributes laid upon and around the bier were a silent tribute to the high regard and affection in which the late Mrs. Murray was held throughout this community.
Besides her husband, who unfortunately is a patient in the local General Hospital at the present time, she leaves to mourn her loss three sons and a daughter, Norman, Donald, Ian and Margaret. Also two sisters in Victoria, B. C., a brother in Boston, Mass., U. S. A.. and another brother and sister resident at Clyde Bank, Scotland. To all of these and sorrowing relatives sincerest sympathy is extended in their great bereavement.
