Miss Helen Bushell, who had been in the hospital here for several weeks suffering from an attack of influenza with complications, passed away on Sunday evening.
Miss Bushell had been engaged in missionary work in the Mackenzie River district and at Le Pas, Manitoba, and came from the latter place in March last to take a position in the Indian Residential School at Carcross.
The remains were taken to Carcross Tuesday for burial in the little cemetery where rests the body of the great pioneer missionary of the north, Bishop Bompas. Beautiful floral offerings were placed on the bier. The funeral was held at Carcross Wednesday morning.
A brother, Herbert Bushell, resides at 544 Kingston Road, Toronto.
