The abandoned Shingle Point Airport is located on Mackenzie Bay on the Beaufort Sea. Shingle Point was a DEW Line Auxiliary site called BAR-2 that opened in 1957, and operations ended in June 1989. The airport is at 68° 55' 51" N, 137° 13' 45" W, at an elevation of 123 feet. There was a single gravel runway, 3,805 feet x 110 feet. The site is now in Ivvavik National Park.
