A Guide to the Klondike River Campground, Yukon

by Murray Lundberg

Campgrounds in the Yukon

The Klondike River Campground, operated by Yukon Parks, is located on Rock Creek Road just off Km 696.7 of the North Klondike Highway, 20 km from downtown Dawson City. It has 35 campsites, 2 of them pull-throughs. It also has a kitchen shelter, and a playground for children. The loop roads are winding and very narrow, and big rigs need to exercise extra caution. The nightly fee at Klondike River Campground, as at all Yukon Parks campgrounds, is $20, and includes firewood.

The Klondike River Campground is open and fully serviced from May 12 until October 2 (in 2023), and is gated in the off-season.
