by Murray Lundberg

Campgrounds & Rest Areas in the Yukon Territory

The Kathleen Lake Campground, operated by Parks Canada, is located at Km 220 of the Haines Highway. It has 39 campsites, none of them pull-throughs. It also has a boat launch and a kitchen shelter. There is superb hiking both at Kathleen Lake and in the area. The nightly fee at Kathleen Lake Campground is $15.70, and firewood is available for $ 8.80 including a campfire permit.

Kathleen Lake Campground is open and fully serviced from May 19 to September 24 (in 2017), and is gated in the off-season, though the recreation area and kitchen shelter on the lakeshore is accessible all winter.
