A Guide to Frances Lake Campground, Yukon

by Murray Lundberg

Campgrounds & Rest Areas in the Yukon

The Frances Lake Campground, operated by Yukon Parks, is located at Km 171.4 of the Robert Campbell Highway. It has 24 campsites, none of them pull-throughs. It also has a boat launch and a kitchen shelter. The nightly fee at Frances Lake Campground, as at all Yukon Parks campgrounds, is $20, and includes firewood.

Frances Lake Campground is open and fully serviced from May 12 until October 2 (in 2023). It is not gated in the off-season, though, and can be used. Snow is not plowed, and all campers must register (no fee), bring their own toilet paper and firewood, and pack out their garbage.
