Dateline: January 7, 2024.

    It's common this time of year to look back at what happened during the previous year. For me, the photos on my blog are a good way of doing that, so I decided to pick out the best photo posted each month. "Best" doesn't mean photographically - images that I'd submit to a contest - merely images that I like because they show what we were up to, and that I connect with in various ways.

    In 2007, 99 posts were added to the blog, with a total of 183 photos. The longest post, with 16 photos, was "Spring road trip on the Alaska Highway", added on March 26th.

January 2007
Cathy and I decided that we should take up mushing as the perfect activity for our lives in Carcross - see "The new mushers - the blind leading the blind".

February 2007
I spent a night photographing the area around Carcross under a full moon, and posted 4 photos on February 17th - see "The Full Moon Photo Trip".

March 2007
Having to attend a meeting in Watson Lake, I decided to extend the drive, to Liard Hot Springs, and I posted 16 photos - see "Spring road trip on the Alaska Highway".

April 2007
A very busy month resulted in only one blog post, with 6 photos, as the month was about to end - see "No rest when Spring arrives!".

May 2007
On May 23rd, I got home from a 6-day trip to visit family in Kelowna, and posted 4 photos - see "Summer is only a few hours away, in Kelowna, BC".

June 2007
On June 21st, Cathy and I drove to to Skagway for a flightseeing trip over Glacier Bay National Park, and I posted 23 photos - see "Being a tourist in your own area".

July 2007
On July 8th I was in Fairbanks after coming across the Top of the World Highway, guiding a group I was having a lot of fun with - see "On the road with a tour - Dawson to Fairbanks".

August 2007
A meeting in Mayo in late August took me past this view at Yukon Crossing on the Yukon River - see "Meeting, wandering & shooting".

September 2007
During this period, I made some blog posts with only 1 photo, that linked to a regular Web page with many. See "Life is a Journey..." for a link to 40 other photos of Dawson City in all seasons.

October 2007
In my post of October 15th, I describe 2 historic buildings that are now gone - see "Historic Venus Mine buildings washed away".

November 2007
On November 29th I posted photos of 3 homes and commented on our upcoming move back out of the city - see "You can take the boy out of the country - for a while...".

December 2007
On December 21st I talked a bit about the quality of the light we get for photography in the winter - see "Embracing the light".
