Opened in March 1999, ExploreNorth is now the world's largest access point to
the circumpolar North. Administered by Yukon resident Murray Lundberg and his team, it has
evolved from a "Yukon & Alaska History" Web site that he built for The Mining Company in February
1997. From 1999 until 2001 it was the "Arctic/Northern Culture" site in About.com's huge network.
The focus of ExploreNorth is now the circumpolar North in the broadest sense - from the arts to
fishing and hunting, science to tourism, you'll find the answers you're looking for here.
Weekly features by various writers provide information that is available nowhere else, and the
extensive use of photographs by many photographers ensure that you get an in-depth look at the real North.
We encourage submissions and feedback, whether it be for a Web site that is not yet linked, or an error in a feature.
The interactive features at ExploreNorth, including a Blog, are available for any discussions about the North. You can also subscribe to a free weekly
newsletter to keep up-to-date with new features, Northern news and related discussions.
For Northern businesses, we offer a wide range of opportunities to increase your visibility, from Web site design and hosting to listing enhancements
and other advertising.
