Yukon Flight

Flying excites me – if I can’t be doing it, I want to be watching it. Whether it’s natural flight or technological flight is immaterial – the concept is the same to me, and the Yukon is a great place to watch both types.

The photo above is a hawk seen last week on Montana Mountain (I haven’t yet had a chance to check my Sibley’s to see what type of hawk). And below is probably an even rarer bird at Mayo this past Saturday – it’s a 1968 Short SC-7 Skyvan loaded with freight for a mining exploration camp. If you’re “just plane nuts” like me, you can see lots more in my aircraft photos section.
