That was shot with my little Fuji S1800 point-and-shoot! That was typical winter traffic - nobody for many miles, perhaps 6-8 vehicles in the 67 miles between Skagway and Carcross, then it's a bit heavier from there to Whitehorse. With the great new tire treads and compounds, not many people run studs anymore.

Thanks for all of your comments :)

Rejeana - although I haven't personally seen anything, I've read enough reports and seen enough photos and videos to think that there may be a few Sasquatch out there in the mountains. There are many places that have never had a human foot on them - even airplanes get lost forever in that wilderness. I like the idea that such places exist, and that such creatures may exist.

As I watched the video, I was thinking, "How on earth did you keep both the car and the camera so steady!!" and I was envisaging some way of having a headband for the camera! Blow me down - you did. Shows how behind with technology I am! Now I come to think of it, I'm sure climbers and speliologists, and as you mentioned at the end, scuba divers, have had this sort of thing for ages - it's just that hanging off mountains, crawling through caves and exploring the ocean bed don't exactly feature in my comfort zone these days! Amazing photos; another thing I find impossible to imagine is the depth of freezing cold you survive under - and how you manage to keep your vehicle running at 26 or 40 below!
