encourages awareness of the value of archives.

A brief summary of the association's history, mandate and activities.
Canadian Heritage Information Network
This huge link site offers many resources, including an inventory which
accesses some 25,000,000 objects held by museums in Canada.
The Canadian Society for Civil Engineering
The Society lists Canadian National Historic Engineering Sites, including the White Pass & Yukon Route railway and the Alaska Highway.
Fairbanks Historical Preservation Foundation
This organization was founded to, among other projects, coordinate the restoration of the sternwheeler Nenana. Their Web site has
lots of information, and an extremely good photo album.
Historical Construction Equipment Association
This large site has lots of photos, and information available on the machinery that dredged the goldfields of the North, built the Alaska Highway etc.
The Society of Architectural Historians
The Society encourages scholarly research in the field of historic architecture, and promotes the preservation of
significant structures around the world.
Stikine River Historical Foundation
Based in Wrangell, with the mandate the preserve the history of the river. The current project is the restoration of the riverboat Judith Ann.
Yukon Council of Archives
Lots of information about past and current projects of this very productive organization.
Yukon Historical & Museums Association
The territory's umbrella organization has a large site with a great deal of information on heritage sites and issues.
