Developed by the NWT Industry, Tourism and Investment department, this is a complete directory of artists, arts-related events and organizations and even descriptions of types of Northern art.

NWT Arts Council
The Council is mandated to promote the arts and to make recommendations to the government on financial awards, issues and policies associated with the arts and artists.

Great Northern Arts Festival
Since 1989, Inuvik has been hosting this festival each July. It draws about 120 artists and performers.

Based in Yellowknife, this balladeer and storyteller has released 2 solo albums.

Shawna Lampi-Legaree
This artist from Yellowknife creates many of her unique quilts and other fabric art using Northern images.

"Mukluksoff" lives in Fort Simpson, and her site showcases many of her colourful paintings of northern life.

Living in Yellowknife, Dawn creates a wide range of brightly-coloured products, from prints and tiles to silk scarves and mouse pads.
